Four of the most consistent and un-crowded surf breaks in Nicaragua are just steps from our front gate. No need for boat trips when there’s waves for every level, options at every tide and no crowds. And with on site activities for everyone you can surf as long as you want without ever leaving anyone behind!

Volunteer

Connect with the local community

We believe the best way to connect with a community is to immerse yourself within it by also lending a hand. That is why we have created a volunteer program with our local NGO partner NICA Fund that gives our guests the flexibility to not only volunteer, but also to surf, explore and/or relax while visiting Nicaragua.

04
Adventure

Hike a Volcano Explore the City

Take a break from the beach and explore a colonial city and/or one of the many volcanos in Nicaragua. All-inclusive packages include one of these options; choose from hiking or sand boarding a volcano, a rum factory tour, zip-lining, a panga boat ride through mini islands or see lava at night!

Waves for Every Level

Situated directly in front of four great surf breaks with waves for every level that break at both low and high tide, everyone in the group will have fun – whether they are beginners in white water or advanced surfers. Best bet for beginner/intermediate surfers is October – February with the larger swell season starting March.

Bonus! The town of El Transito is relatively new to surfing so the crowd is limited and the locals are friendly – as most were taught by SOLID over the past 5 years!

About Us

What guests are saying

I absolutely enjoyed my stay here. The first thing I loved about this place is how close to the beach you are. It’s literally your backyard. The rooms were awesome and food was amazing. I never found myself wanting something during my stay – everything I needed was right there. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay again if I’m ever in the area!

Nursing Volunteer / All-Inclusive

I can’t say enough about this place. You are literally steps from the water. I was there for surfing and we scored really good uncrowded waves… on the most crowded day there was 30 people max (once) and usually less than 10. The staff is awesome and the bar at the solid hostel next door is a great place to enjoy an ice cold beer. Surf when you want, drink when you want and nap when you want.

Solo Surfer / All-Inclusive

My lady and I first talked about going to Nicaragua 10 years ago and we finally made it! Everything was just right. The pickup was in style, new Ram 4×4 with AC. The room was simple, clean and comfortable. All the meals were perfect. SOLID has done a really good job of giving to the community and the community supports them. It is not “5 star” but that was part of the charm.

Surfing Couple / All-Inclusive

A spot directly on the beach with many hammocks and a very welcoming staff. The kitchen is practical and spotless. Interestingly the hostel [has no] restaurant to ensure the survival of local food spots. The surf is great and there is almost no one on the beach. The hostel is small and the crowd is totally relaxed. We stayed here much longer than expected and for very good reason.

We traveled two weeks looking for the right place to post up a few days, surf, have some beers, and enjoy the local culture. El Trànsito is an awesome town with food options from authentic little spots to beachfront delicacies. The hostel is right on the beach, has boards, friendly staff, full kitchen, and a bar among palm trees and hammocks. Rad spot, would definitely come back.

If you’re looking for an incredibly friendly, relaxing, and easy surf experience – look no further. The best parts are the people and the vibe. They have a kitchen to cook your own food and tons of hammocks. Overall this has been the best spot we’ve stayed on our two week trip. Glad we stumbled on this peaceful spot – leaving relaxed, rejuvenated, and a slightly better surfer.
